CHILDHOOD CANCER: AN HONEST CONVERSATION WITH CATHERINE POINTER & SHEONA SCALES

Honestly Podcast

This is weighty but humbling one. Clemmie speaks to two guests: Catherine had Leukaemia twice as a child but now, having finished her PHD,  works in the same hospital she was treated as a kid (in fact she her lab is exactly 2 floors above the ward).

While Sheona is head of paediatric research at @cr_uk and was able to share frontline insight into how and what their research actually involves. At one point Clemmie asks Catherine what advice she would give her younger self. Her answer? “to hang in there, that the life was that was coming was worth it.”
